The purpose of this is to simply communicate my strongly-held and moderately-informed opinions on all layered, handheld snacks. The real goal of this project is to make sure our children live in a world where sandwiches both stay intact and make no compromises in flavor.

I have a question about the 2nd Commandment. You seem to imply that unhealthy ingredients are the tastiest ones. But this is often untrue. What if the sandwicheer is using slices of fresh peach?
There is another related difficulty in the 2nd Commandment, and that is your assumption that mayonnaise is unhealthy and therefore should be used sparingly. In fact, mayonnaise is both healthy and tasty, and we should apply it liberally. How can we possibly assign it only top or bottom?
Considering these examples, I propose a solution: put healthy, tasty ingredients on top *and* bottom.
These commandments of course can be broken with an adequate justification, which you have provided.
Wow, this is great. Your idea to layer high- and low-friction ingredients is going to make the sandwich world a safer, saner place. No more tomato slices on the floor!
Agreed! No one wants their kids to live in a slipped-sandwich world.
